Dawn graduated from the University of Alberta in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Since then she has worked in clinics across New Zealand, Australia and western Canada, and those years of exposure to different treatment traditions shape how she assesses people today. Her treatment philosophy is collaborative — built around a team of professionals, and around the person in front of her.

Background
In 2002 Dawn was among the first physiotherapists in northern Alberta trained in Gunn IMS. Before that she had completed extensive manual therapy education through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and she was later awarded an Honorary Fellowship through iSTOP, the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain.
She has been a competitive athlete in equestrian show jumping, mountain biking and running, and has had her share of injuries — including breaking her back and pelvis, and working her way back to activity afterwards. Knowing first-hand how frustrating an injury is has shaped an assessment and treatment approach built around each person rather than around a protocol.
Away from the clinic, horses have always been in her blood. After several years away from show jumping she is back in the saddle and riding again.
