Background
Farrah works with acute trauma, post-traumatic stress, chronic pain and psychological injury after a collision or another life-altering event, and with people whose symptoms are getting in the way of work or of ordinary daily functioning.
Her approach is trauma-informed, strength-based and evidence-based, and centres on restoring a sense of safety before anything else. She draws on EMDR, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, person-centred therapy and solution-focused therapy, and sets the approach with each person rather than in advance.
She also works with children affected by traumatic events, including separation and divorce, using child-centred therapeutic play, and holds a certification from the Rocky Mountain Play Institute.
A provisional psychologist in Alberta practises under supervision while completing the requirements for full registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
